The group led by Dr. Alisa Limsuwan, deputy dean of the School, first visited the Medtronic Innovation Center, and then participated in a two-hour event at SHI, organized and moderated by Dr. Yu Kubota, a junior associate professor at SHI.

The event began with an introduction of the school by Dr. Ung-il Chung/Yuichi Tei, dean of the school, followed by a lecture on health technology assessment by Dr. Nobuyuki Shimohata, an associate professor at SHI. Questions on our support for students ventures and the differences between the assessment systems in Thailand and Japan were given from the participants.

Dr. Makoto Nagasawa of Cyberdyne Inc., an alumnus of the school, closed the event with a presentation on the company's innovative cybernics technology, including a wearable cyborg device called HAL (Hybrid Assistive Limb). Dr. Nagasawa and his team brought the actual devices to SHI and gave the participants the opportunity to try them on, which was well-received with enthusiasm.
